The Lounge
Before opening in May 2008, Jeff Gillum previously owned and operated 7 bars and entertainment establishments spanning nearly two decades. As a former EKU football player and graduate, Jeff saw a need for a full-service restaurant and bar in Richmond that offered a fun / family dining experience in addition to the up-scale bar/lounge atmosphere.

Meet The Owner
Jeff graduated from M.C. Napier High School in Hazard in 1987 and was recruited to play football at EKU. He graduated from EKU in 1991 and opened Player’s Club on Water Street. The legend begins! Before opening Gillum’s Sports Lounge on Derby Weekend in 2008, Jeff Gillum previously owned and operated 7 bars and entertainment establishments in Madison, Clark and Mason counties, spanning nearly two decades. Jeff’s passion is to see people have a great time. He saw a need for a full-service restaurant and bar in Richmond that offered a fun / family dining experience, while also offering the up-scale bar scene. When he is not at the restaurant, Jeff spends most of his free time with his son, Colten.
